1950 Willys-Overland Jeep TruckCurrent Status - 6/22/2004The car show went incredibly well. The weather was great - a little cloud cover, cool breezes, reasonable temperatures, and no rain! Judging went a little faster this year and had no problems starting the truck like I did last year. The truck won first place this time and scored high enough in points to be placed in the 'senior' category next year. This means I only compete against other 'senior' vehicles - sort of a best of the best type thing. Guess I'll be going back next year to see how it does in its 'new' classification! My mother even had fun - once she got there and found me and the truck! Car shows and crowds just aren't her thing (normally) but she enjoyed riding with me through the judging stand and watching the people looking at the truck. Need to get EVERYTHING done for next year now!The Parts Catalog and Surplus pages have been combined into a single entity and have been moved to their permanent home on my related site jeep-trucks.com. The actual link to the parts page is jeep-trucks.com/parts. The ProjectMy dad bought this truck in 1957. In 1980 my parents gave the truck to me on my sixteenth birthday. The truck remained in operation until the mid-80's. I started a frame-off rebuild six years ago (1996) and am trying to restore the truck primarily to the way I remember it when I was growing up. This means keeping the 'modifications' that had already been done to the truck. For the most part, however, it is, and will remain, stock. The WebsiteThis site is intended to be informative. It will be updated as I make progress on rebuilding the truck. I can still take pictures if needed but with the truck almost together I'm not going to be able to take a picture of just anything. Let me know what you need and I will see what I can do. There are quite a few images available in http://www.jeep-trucks.com/assets/images. There isn't a real rhyme or reason to the ordering but have fun roaming...

Those of you who have been following the rebuilding process probably know how intertwined
my dad and the history of my truck has been. Sadly, he passed away on February 21, 2004.
He was a wonderful father and friend and the hole that we are left with is filled with wonderful
memories of the years we had with him. Say a prayer for him, if you're so inclined, as he
continues his journey into the next life...
